Replacing Missing Back Teeth

Case #1

Patient came to us with tooth #19 that had previously had two root canal procedures. He had left facial swelling that did not improve with antibiotics and had to have an emergency incision and drainage of the area with an extraction of tooth #19. We did a guided tissue regeneration and bone graft. Two months later we were able to place the implant and insert the crown at his fourth month period. Patient was ecstatic with his results, and mentioned he felt even better than his natural tooth.

Case #2

Patient had bit into an almond and cracked his tooth #4 in half. Patient came to us for an emergency appointment because they were in excruciating pain. We were able to extract the tooth and place an implant immediately with bone graft and soft tissue graft under IV sedation. We also used a temporary crown on the implant so that when the patient woke up from surgery he would be able to walk out with a temporary tooth the same day.
